Teaching Graffiti & Stencil Lessons

Revolting Mass is available to teach graffiti and has successfully done so at youth clubs in the past. He teaches freehand graffiti as well as stencil graffiti. These graffiti lessons can be tailored to you. Stencil graffit lessons usually last for 1 or 2 sessions with freehand graffiti lessons lasting 5 or 6 sessions. Each sessions lasting between 2 and 2.5 hours.

With freehand graffiti each student is given a 1.2m square plywood board to work on, which they can take away with them.

The first session begins with hand outs on graffiti being given out, magazines and books on graffiti passed round and a brief introduction to handling spray paint cans and health and safety. Appropriate equipment is provided to the students.

We then move on to basic lettering, shading techniques, out lining and high lighting.

Session 2 is characters, where the students are asked to either bring in a picture or choose on from the magazines and books on graffiti provided. The students copy the image onto their board, colouring and shading.

The final 3 or 4 sessions are usually a team effort graffiti mural. Which can be either painted onto an internal or external wall or onto canvas, paper or board.

Revolting Mass helps students throughout the whole process. Providing guidance and advice.

Below are some photos of past graffiti teaching sessions.
